LAKE

Cedar Bluff Lake and State Park

Trego County, Kansas

On the south side of the lake you'll find the cedar-lined, 100-foot-tall limestone bluffs for which the reservoir is named. A sign south of the lake on K-147 directs you to the scenic overlook. The reservoir, completed in 1951, is nationally recognized for its black bass. A giant fishing pole complete with reel, bobber, and hook was created in 2014 by state park employees. It stands at a small pond near the state park office. State park entrance charge. Cabins available, reservations required.
