Birger Sandzén’s bold brushwork and vibrant colors dominate the wall-sized canvases featured here, along with his lithographs, block prints, and drypoints. Born in Sweden, Sandzén (1871–1954) studied with leading European artists before coming to Lindsborg and becoming a prolific American painter. Today his work appears in museums and collections around the world and was named one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas Art.
Rotating exhibits showcase local and regional artists, and a consignment table offers original pieces ready to head home with you.
