Atchison County Courthouse

Atchison, KS | Atchison County

George Washburn designed this grand 1897 limestone Romanesque Revival structure, which features a seven-story clock tower. A plaque on a rock in front of the courthouse states that Abraham Lincoln spoke near here on December 2, 1859, during his campaign visit to Kansas. (NRHP)
