Oketo Cutoff Markers

Oketo, KS | Marshall County

From 12th (State), 1 mile west on K-233, and from K-233 (Cherokee), ¾ mile south on 12. Stone markers at each of these two spots indicate portions of the short-lived Oketo Cutoff, a shorter stagecoach route for the Central Overland California and Pikes Peak Express from 1862 to 1863.
