Dichroic glass (ultra-thin layers of different metals set in a vacuum) creates the colorful and exotic exterior. Collaboration with the American Museum of Natural History provides rare changing exhibits inside that are amazing for all ages. Exhibitions in the Great Hall are free and include the Big Fish Story, the first discovery of the Tyrannosaurus rex, and a rotating photo gallery. Children will love touching and playing with everything in the Discovery Room where ages 3 to 12 are given a wonderful dose of natural history and science.
