Inman Harvest Mural

Inman, KS | McPherson County

The Inman Museum and community members in Inman, known as the Custom Harvest Capital of Kansas, wanted to showcase their deep ties to the wheat harvest and commemorate the 150th anniversary of Turkey Red wheat’s arrival in Kansas. So they commissioned artist Mindy Allen to transform the west side of a towering grain elevator. For six weeks in the fall of 2024, travelers along K-61 and local residents watched daily as the mural unfolded on the 108-foot-tall, 49-foot-wide structure, blossoming into something big and beautiful that still catches the eye of anyone passing by.
