This legendary Red Hills watering hole was named for Buster (C.A.) Hathaway, who started it in 1946 as Hathaway's Tavern. But soon it became known simply as Buster's. As you enter through the double screen door under a tin awning, imagine all the cowboy boots that have crossed this wood floor and rested on the bar's brass foot rail. It's a pasture-to- plate menu and as owner Harry Dawson says, "It's a meat eater's heaven." The Angus beef is grass fed here in the Gyp Hills, and you'll taste the goodness in each bite of the steaks and burgers. Sure to quench your thirst is the famous ice-cold fishbowl beer.
