The Old Centerville Pumphouse

Centerville, KS | Linn County

Laura Eastwood's husband attended an auction in 2007 and came home with the news that she was the new owner of a 1918 oil pump house! It's a huge pump house, a two-story brick building with tall, stately windows on all sides. It didn't take long for Laura to turn it into an event center that hosts live music, dancing, weddings, and more. Today, owners Zach and Kaci are creating a space for destination weddings that honors the building's history.  The building originally held equipment that pumped oil across the state to a refinery, and it closed in the 1940s. Admire it from the outside or for tours, call. (Photos (3) show the building before renovation.)
