Sumner County Courthouse
Inside this 1952 Modern Movement style courthouse, a lobby display case contains the skull of a Columbian mammoth. The bones of this mammal, thought to be 125,000 years old, were discovered in the early 1990s in the county landfill. A sign with the bones provides background. Also in the lobby a large county map is superimposed over a colorful mural depicting a rural pioneer scene. Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
