Old Water Tower Site
900 block of Frazier (beside the water tower). Stones forming a large circle mark the site of an early wooden water tower. At the center, an 1888 concrete and stone marker inscribed “U.S. W. E. & P.C.” recognizes the U.S. Wind Engine & Pump Company of Batavia, Illinois, that built the town’s waterwork system. This location was for the reserve water tank.
