Myers Hotel Bar

220 S. Main. Built in 1879, the hotel stands on the old Kansas City to Denver stage route. Molly Myers ran it from 1889 to the 1930s as a hotel and later a bus stop. It was here that Kansas playwright William Inge was inspired to write the Broadway play "Bus Stop." Now, in its new life, Myers has become the hip place to sip signature cocktails, beer, and wine in a historic atmosphere. “Barchitec” (bartender and architect) Kate Brubacher makes everyone feel welcome and loves building creative drink concoctions. It’s strictly a bar business but occasionally food trucks are on hand Friday or Saturday nights. Thursday-Saturday 5 p.m.-12 a.m.; Sunday 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
