Eureka City Lake

From 7th, 4½ miles north on State (becomes Lake), then west to the lake. You will enjoy a six-mile scenic drive around Eureka City Lake, completed in 1938 by the WPA, Civilian Conservation Corps, and the city. The 1930s craftsmanship is still evident in the native limestone inlaid dam, picnic shelters, and entrances. The lake was built for flood control, water supply, and recreation, and today the property incorporates a residential development.
