Heritage Walk through downtown, initiated by George Gantz in the early 1990s, includes benches, landscaping, and old-fashioned street lamps along the red-brick sidewalks that lead to many historic buildings. Surrounding the courthouse square are many great shopping options including the Golden Fleece (413 New York); Heart to Home (105 W. 4th); and Jayhawk TV & Appliance (435 New York).
