SANTA FE TRAIL

Willow Springs Story Marker

Baldwin City, KS | Douglas County

Today you have to go out of your way to find Willow Springs, but luckily it was easier for the wagon trains on the Santa Fe Trail to locate this watering hole. It was also the site of one of the earliest post offices on the trail. You'll have to hunt a little to find the plaque and marker that tell the Willow Springs story. The markers are on the west side of E. 1100 under a tree.
