River Road Scenic Back Road (Section 3)

To continue the route that started in Coolidge (Section 1) and then continued from Syracuse (Section 2), go 18 miles east on River (becomes 358, J, K and again River) to Lakin. When you leave Kendall to begin this section of the back-road route, you should be north of the Arkansas River and north of the railroad tracks. Highlights along this route include the Amazon Ditch, Hartland, and Indian Mound, all in Kearny County.
