Rice County Rabbits

Lyons, KS | Rice County

In Lindsborg you’ll spot the iconic Dala horses. In Wamego, it’s all about the Totos. Liberal celebrates Dorothy. And now, Rice County has something uniquely its own—Rabbits!

A life-sized bronze rabbit can be found in each of the county’s eight incorporated cities, creating a fun and meaningful trail to explore. The concept, created by Valerie Reynoso, was designed to show children that although each town is unique, we are all connected as one community.

To enhance the adventure, pick up a book at participating local stores for clues and the backstory of each rabbit—details you’ll also find highlighted on a plaque beside every sculpture. Or simply set out on your own and keep your eyes peeled for those long-eared bronze rabbits waiting to be discovered.
