In 1970 Sara Fair Sleeper responded to the need for a quilting shop and turned several abandoned downtown buildings into a fabric, quilting supply, and knickknack store. Sara retired in 2013 at the age of 96 and Paula Royer stepped in to take over. With more than 5,000 bolts of fabric on hand, Alden remains a go-to town for your fabric and quilting needs.
