At the corner of D Ave. and S. Main the small white concrete building with a blue wooden door is an innocent looking little thing. Would you guess it was constructed in 1920 as a jail? Locals report that it was the lockup as late as the 1930s, and anyone thrown into this unconditioned and unheated clink suffered through the heat and cold.
