Historic Gleaner

Nickerson, KS | Reno County

Why is an old but shined up Gleaner resting on the corner? It's a permanent fixture here to acknowledge Nickerson's Baldwin brothers, who invented the Gleaner in 1923, the first self-propelled combine harvester. A large plaque tells its history.
