201 W. U.S. 36. A likeness of astronaut Ron Evans' Apollo 17 module is displayed outside, and inside is a small exhibit about this St. Francis native. Among other exhibits is a diorama illustrating the county's history from pre-historic days through the 1864 Cherry Creek Encampment. A display on Jack Weinstein tells this man's heroic story. February-May, Friday-Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; June-September, Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-2 pm.; September-November, Friday-Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Also open by appointment. Alternate phone number, .
