Since 1871 more than 30 City of Wichita and Sedgwick County law enforcement officers have lost their lives in the line of duty. To honor them, replicas of these fallen officers' boots, sculpted by Connie Ernatt, are lined across a stone ledge. Identifying plaques are placed above each pair. Look for this memorial behind the large statues of a lion and lioness.
