Concrete Grain Elevators and Scale House

Chapman, KS | Dickinson County

Like the grain elevator with the astronaut mural, the small unassuming concrete scale house next to it, also was built in 1917. A third structure, the westernmost elevator, is the oldest in the complex. Erected in 1911 it is one of the earliest concrete grain elevators in Kansas.
