Looks can be deceiving! The owner intentionally created a hole-in-the-wall kind of place where the rickety steps and porch might make you wonder about the food—until you go inside and discover one of the best meals around. That’s part of the charm of this popular community gathering spot in Soldier, population 101. The burnt ends are a favorite, but there are plenty of non-barbecue options, too. Grab a canned or bottled beer to go with your meal, then finish things off with homemade pie.
